Shikhar Foods: Where Tradition Meets Innovation
Family owned since 1962, Shikhar Foods is the largest rice miller and exporter in Northern India. Formerly known as Girja Shanker Rice Oil & Flour Mills, in 2003 we formed Shikhar FoodsPvt. Ltd., and grew to our current processing capacity. Shikhar Foods now has 3 mills that combined can produce up to 480 metric tons per day through new leading, state of the art technology.

Our work culture, together with our state-of-the-art environment and friendly production facilities, have helped our company define new benchmarks in premium quality rice production.
The History
From a humble beginning more than five decades ago, our family owned company has grown to be the leading rice miller and manufacturer in the Teraibelt of the Himalaya’s by using traditional & conventional rice milling techniques. In 2003 we converted our company to Shikhar Foods Pvt. Ltd., and equipped all 3 manufacturing facilities with the newest rice milling equipment and manufacturing techniques available. Additional upgrades took place in 2015, further improving our production quality standards. Shikhar Foods is now the foremost in the region, with the latest available technology in manufacturing and storage of rice grains.
To continue with our expansion, in 2016 we opened Shikhar Foods Singapore Pte. Ltd. Singapore is one of the leading and most well-regulated financial centres of the food products industry today. Its combination of robust, high regulatory standards and its business-friendly environment allow us to stay ahead of the curve within the rice manufacturing industry, while still maintaining our personal, family owned touch that our customers have come to expect. This global landing spot also allows us easy reach to customers internationally whom we can quickly respond to when doing business with one another.
Location
Nestled amidst the Terai Belt Valley at the foot of the Himalayan Mountains, lie vast fields of luscious rice paddies. The natural, clean, and fertile soils here make the perfect farming terrain for delicate balances of diverse rice varieties, and has been home to our rice yields for the past 5 decades. This ideal climate, with its rich, mineral-dense, natural resources keep us coming back year after year for the finest and best tasting rice the world around.
